Project: turbo + progammable ECU for a 87 Nissan Pulsar
The Nissan Pulsar was fully disassembled and restored and then fitted with a Nissan GA16i monopoint injected 1.6 liter engine. After the restoration the GA16i was fitted with a GA16DE multi-point injection intake manifold. A custom turbo exhaust manifold was fabricated to adapt a Garett T25 turbo from a Nissan 200SX.
To control the engine a custom ECU PCB was fabricated capable of running the Speeduino open source engine management system. The PCB was fitted with an automotive Molex CMC series connector to ensure reliable control of the engine.
The Pulsar has been running strong with the turbo setup since 2019 and will do so for many years to come.
