RetroSafe wireless lighting
At VanBrewer, we are not only focused on solutions that make your favorite classics look good and feel comfortable but also on improving safety. Introducing our latest product in development: the RetroSafe wireless signaling lights. Currently, we are developing two versions: the wireless indicator set and the third brake light set.
We aim to improve safety without compromising the vehicle’s appearance. Our RetroSafe wireless lights can be installed without drilling holes or cutting cables. The only two components needed are:
- A RetroSafe master module, which can be installed in seconds at either one of the indicator lights or the brake light.
- A fully charged RetroSafe indicator module or brake module, which can be attached magnetically to the car.
Indicator lights
Below are some images of our latest prototype. As seen in the images, the prototype has two strong neodymium magnets that allow for temporary installation onto your vehicle.
At the moment, the prototype is quite chunky and lacks that retro look. The final product will be at least three times thinner and will have a more sleek design with a touch of chrome. It will resemble something more like this:

Why should I bother to buy one for my vehicle?
To increase your visibility in traffic, of course! Side indicator lights were not invented for nothing; they improve your visibility in traffic and allow for a safer ride for you, your passengers, and your surroundings. Side indicator lights are indispensable on highways, roundabouts, intersections, and when you want to enter or leave your parking spot.
To give an example, consider the considerable blind spot of side mirrors. Even the best drivers can overlook a vehicle in their blind spot whilst changing lanes. Fortunately, you’ve learned to use your turn signals to warn other drivers of your intentions. If only your classic car had side indicators…
How is the wireless side indicator light powered?
The wireless side indicator light is powered by an internal battery. This battery requires charging with the supplied wireless charger. It is advised to charge the device before taking off.
Can I leave the master module attached?
Yes, the master module can be attached permanently if desired. Even when removing the wireless side indicator from the car.
Do I need to charge the master module?
No, the master module does not contain any battery. It is powered by your front or back indicator lights.
Third brake light
We are currently developing a prototype for the third brake light. More information is coming soon!
Why should I bother to buy one for my vehicle?
It is easy to install and protects you, your passengers, and your beloved car from avoidable accidents. Third brake lights were invented to improve your visibility in traffic and have been proven to make a considerable difference. Nowadays, with large vehicles being immensely popular, a third brake light can make a big difference in collision avoidance.
As an example, consider a situation where a driver is sitting in a car with a high nose. Because the classic car in front has a third brake light, it is more likely to catch the attention of the driver in the large vehicle behind. The second sketch shows how the situation could end if the driver behind fails to detect that the car in front is braking.
